Eye inflammation and its treatment
Many of you, most likely, have experienced a situation when you wake up in the morning and there is painful redness under one of your eyes.
It is called an inflammation of one of the glands of the eyelid. Usually, it is a result of a lack of proper hygiene or low immunity.
The main causes of inflammation:
- Eye contact with staphylococcus aureus
- Touching the eyes with dirty hands
- Using someone else’s cosmetics
- Going to bed with makeup on
- Reduced immunity
- Concomitant diseases such as gastrointestinal problems, diabetes, worms, and so on
Also, severe stress, exhaustion and depression can lead to the formation of eye inflammation.
Signs of the disease:
- Redness of the eyelid
- Appearance of a white or yellowish bump on the eye
In no case should you try to open the formed abscess or put pressure on it. There is a special rubbing of the painful area of the eyelid, for which iodine, medical alcohol or brilliant green are used. Eye drops and creams are also applicable, but they can be used after being prescripted by a doctor. Often, creams and drops such as Tobrex or Tsipromed are recommended. To speed up the healing process, it is worth consuming a big dose of fruits and vitamins, as they strengthen the immune system. At home treatment, the application of dry warm tissues is also used since heat accelerates blood circulation. In case of inflammation, you should immediately consult with your doctor, who will select the best medicines to get rid of this disease.
If inflammation occurs, it is forbidden to wear contact lenses, rub your eyes and use cosmetics, as this can only worsen the situation. To reduce the risk of this disease, it is worth strictly adhering to the rules of hygiene and constantly strengthening the immune system.
